Handy Safety Tips
Even if you won't be taking a course with us, we want to make sure that you know how to stay safe. Use these tips to prevent dangerous situations and keep the bandages out of your life!
Clean up
Keep all walk areas clear. Carelessly piled items are tripping hazards that people tend to overlook.
Keep cool
In the event of a minor burn, immediately run the affected area under cool water (do not apply butter or oil!).
Brace Yourself
When lifting a heavy object, always remember to bend at the knee, tighten your stomach and keep your back straight.
Be Prepared
Equip your facilities with readily accessible first aid supplies and equipment. Display emergency numbers where people can find them easily.
Fire drill!
In case of a fire the best thing you can do is to stay calm. Have timely drills at least once a year so that everyone can be safe.
Check Yourself
A comprehensive first aid program specifically designed for your work place is important to maintaining a safe, compliant environment.
