Learning CPR can
save the life of a family member, friend, or co-worker.
|
- Your
brain dies in 4 to 6 minutes without oxygen, and the average
response time for medics to arrive on scene is 8 to 10 minutes.
- CPR
can keep your brain alive until help arrives.
- OSHA
requires businesses to offer CPR and First Aid to their employees
to be prepared for emergencies.

| In the United States alone, Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) kills over 400,000 people every year. More people are killed by Sudden Cardiac Arrest than by car accidents, cancer, handguns, house fires, and AIDS combined. Approximately one third of these lives lost could be saved by public access defibrillation. The only cure for most cases of Sudden Cardiac Arrest is immediate shock therapy from a Defibrillator, which shocks a Ventricular fibrillation (VF) rhythm back to a normal heart rhythm. The use of defibrillators by trained bystanders will be the next significant step in saving lives since the inception of CPR |
